You can get braces at any age. However, it is recommended that parents should take their children to the orthodontist as soon as their baby-teeth are replaced, usually from age 7 to 8. A good candidate for braces is an individual who has good oral hygiene and healthy gums and teeth.

American Association of Orthodontics recommends children to have orthodontic consultation no later than age 7

Grown-ups from 18 to 25 years old should still consider orthodontic treatment.
